National Center for Respiratory Medicine

The National Center for Respiratory Medicine is based at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. Since its inception, the center has been dedicated to five key missions:

Tubeless Master Class

As part of our commitment to advancing surgical training, Professor He Jianxing,the center's director, launched the Tubeless Master Class in 2023 to train thoracic surgeons in the latest techniques. As of March 2024, we have conducted 30 classes, attracting over 600 doctors from 152 countries across 5 continents. Our technology has gained recognition from experts worldwide.

International Fellowship Program

The International Fellowship Program provides a structured, hands-on training experience focused onTubeless Uniportal Surgery, an innovative approach that minimizes patient trauma and enhances recovery. Participants will engage in an immersive, step-by-step curriculum within multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), gaining exposure to both fundamental and advanced surgical techniques.

Program Highlights:

• Flexible Training Durations: Choose between a 6-month or 1-year program, with rotations across different teams every3 months to ensure a well-rounded experience.

• Cutting-Edge Technology: Fellows will master groundbreaking innovations developed by Professor He’s team, including:

• Glasses-free 3D display system & Metaverse integration for enhanced surgical visualization

• Robotic navigation system for precise tumor localization

Skills You Will Gain:

• Fundamental Thoracic Surgery Techniques, including:

• Pulmonary lobectomy

• Pulmonary segmentectomy

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility Requirements:

?Hold a medical degree and a valid thoracic surgery license in your country
?For the 1-year program, completion of residency training is required

Accreditation Certification

This program is accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Upon successful completion, fellows will receive an official training certificate endorsed by our esteemed faculty.
